Giving Back: Seattle Works Day 2019

“One day. 50 nonprofits. 1,000 volunteers. One Party”

On Saturday, June 8th, 2019, Osborn Consulting, Inc. (OCI) team members participated in Seattle Works Day 2019. They ventured out to the Lynnwood PAWS Animal Shelter and Wildlife Center to help weed and spread mulch around the shelter’s outdoor area. OCI put on their gardening gloves and left the shelter’s parking lot looking rejuvenated, just in time for summer.

Whether a Seattle native or recently relocated, Seattle Works Day gives residents the chance to help build a welcoming community and make a difference through any size contribution. Seattle Works Day is an annual event with thousands of volunteers and local companies giving back at over 50 non-profit partner locations scattered throughout the city.

This was OCI’s third year participating in Seattle Works Day. Team members enjoyed the opportunity to get outside and hang out with each other outside of the office while giving back to the local community at PAWS.

PAWS Animal Shelter was founded in 1967 and has provided care for more than 3,000 dogs and cats each year, ever since. PAWS also offers training and education to strengthen the human/animal bond and ultimately works to end animal cruelty and overpopulation.

PAWS has stayed true to their vision of finding permanent and loving homes for every pet – one of our team members even decided to adopt their next furry friend after volunteering!

OCI values serving our local communities and we are always looking for new service opportunities. Seattle Works Day is an annual event – visit their website to learn how you can join in on the fun and learn more about their other volunteer opportunities: https://www.seattleworks.org/
